Noun Town's browser games turn vocabulary practice into something you actually want to do. Every word you meet is spoken by a native voice and tied to a bright, memorable 3D object or animal, so the sound, the meaning and the picture stick together. There's nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: press play and you're learning in seconds, on your phone, tablet or computer. Choose your language once and the whole game speaks it to you in Japanese, Spanish, French or German.

🐾 Who's Hiding? the animal-hunting game

You'll hear an animal's name and have to find it as a friendly crowd of creatures wanders the field. Get it right and you'll hear the word again, see it written, and slowly build a collection of all 57 animals, from cows and ducks to lions, pandas and penguins. Because you have to match the sound to the right animal, you're really listening, not just clicking. It's gentle enough for young children and genuinely useful for adults starting a language from scratch.

🎨 Color Race the color game

Colors are some of the first words worth knowing in any language, and Color Race drills them without feeling like drilling. Listen for a color, then tap every matching object before the round ends. Quick rounds, a dancing host and chains of correct taps make it moreish, perfect for a five-minute burst of practice.

🍎 Picky Pet the food game

Choose one of the animals you've collected in Who's Hiding? and it becomes your pet, then it tells you which food it's craving. Listen, pick the right snack from the tray, and watch it happily gobble it up, or pull a face at something it can't stand. Over a few rounds you'll uncover each pet's favourite and most-hated foods while picking up the words for apples, bread, watermelon, dumplings and dozens more, every one spoken aloud.
