Common questions

Quick answers about this lesson's grammar and vocabulary.

German coffee vocabulary?

Der Kaffee (general), der Espresso, der Milchkaffee (white coffee), der Cappuccino, der Latte Macchiato, der Filterkaffee (filter coffee).

Tresen vs Tisch?

Der Tresen = the counter/bar. Der Tisch = table. Am Tresen = at the counter (standing). Am Tisch = at a table (sitting).

Why einen?

Accusative case of ein (masculine). Coffee (der Kaffee) is masculine, so 'a coffee' as object = einen Kaffee.
