Make suggestions in Korean with -ㄹ/을까요? — 우리 집에서 놀까요? (Shall we play at my house?) — and respond 그럴까요?

Conversation

  1. PX296 PX296

    매지캣, 우리 집에서 놀까요?

    Maejikaet, uri jibeseo nolkkayo?

Magicat, shall we play at my house?

Tip: <우리 집> = my house [Note] The word 우리 means literally "we", "our", "us". But, for possessive adjectives, it is very usual to use 우리 in stead of "my" (내) (for example, my sister = 우리 언니) <놀까요> = verb "to play" (in suggestion conjugation with the suffix -ㄹ/을까요)

  2. Magicat Magicat

    그럴까요?

    Geureolkkayo?

    Why not?

Tip: <그럴까요?> = "Why not?" or "Shall we?" to express one's agreement with someone's suggestion to do something together

  3. PX296 PX296

    집에 새로운 보드게임이 있어요.

    Jibe saeroun bodeugeimi isseoyo.

I have a new board game at home.

Tip: <-에> = particle of location for the static verbs like 있어요/없어요/많아요/... <새로운> = new <보드게임> = board game

  4. Magicat Magicat

    오, 보드게임 진짜 좋아해요!

    O, bodeugeim jinjja joahaeyo!

    Oh, I love board games!

    Tip: <진짜> = really <좋아해요> = verb "to like/love"
