Practical Spanish for talking about eating and food preferences — practice the verb comer (to eat), the negative nunca (never), and asking ¿Comes...? about lunch and dinner.

    Tip: <La carne> is a feminine ♀ noun <El pescado> is a masculine ♂ noun

How do you say 'do you eat ...?' in Spanish?

¿Comes ...? — the present tense of comer (to eat) conjugated for tú (you, informal). ¿Comes verduras? = 'do you eat vegetables?'.

What does nunca mean?

'Never' — placed before the verb: nunca como = 'I never eat'. Note: Spanish uses double negatives — no como nunca is also correct.

How do you say 'lunch' and 'dinner'?

El almuerzo = lunch; la cena = dinner. Spain often uses el almuerzo for lunch and la comida in some regions.
