Past tense in Korean — 지난 주말에 뭐 했어요? (What did you do last weekend?) — with -았/었어요.

Tip: <남자친구> = boyfriend [Note] Literally, "man friend" (여자친구 = girlfriend) <N(이)랑> = with N <시내> = town, downtown <한국> = Korea/korean <영화> = film <봤어요> = verb "to watch/look" (in past tense)
